- Abstract: The Sleep Apnea Obstructive Syndrome (SAOS) is considered a lethal breathing disorder, frequently associated with hypertension, lung hypertension, night heart arrhythmias and infarct of the myocardium. The SAOS is caused by repeated episodes of obstruction of the superior aerial roads during the sleep, accompanied of a reduction of the circulating oxygen in the blood, being able to cause serious heart problems. That disorder happens when the individual enters in sleep REM and your muscles are more relaxed, causing total or partial closing of the superior aerial roads. This work comes to present an orthodontic treatment and a surgical treatment of SAOS; in the first case, white woman 63 years old with mandibular and maxillary retrognathism and with maloccclusion of Angle class II, suffered treatment only orthodontic; in the second, white man 39 years old with mandibular retrognathism and with malocclusion of angle Class II, bearer suffered treatment surgical and orthodo
