- Abstract: This article presents an estimate of a risk of two B737 aircraft wings colliding while parking in designated positions on the apron of the Congonhas Airport (São Paulo – Brazil). The movement of the aircraft around the apron was observed and analyzed during docking. The final parking position when cleared for the boarding and disembarking of passengers and luggage was monitored both at the boarding bridges and at remote locations. Statistical analysis was performed, and the results reveal the feasibility of parking these aircraft under current conditions available at the airport. This study indicates that a smaller distance will not have an adverse effect on the safety of the operations
